Cincinnati Cyclones Announce Training Camp Schedule, Invite Matt Rogers To Camp

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL, announced their training camp schedule on Monday (Oct. 2). A total of 25 players are anticipated to be in camp to earn a spot on the 2006-07 team roster. It is expected that 16 forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders will participate in training camp.

The players will begin arriving this week and camp officially opens on Saturday (Oct. 7) at 11am at SportsPlus (10765 Reading Rd., Evendale). There will be six on-ice practice sessions and three preseason games to help decide the team. All practices are open to the public. A full schedule of the preseason is at the bottom of this release.

The Cyclones have also invited forward Matt Rogers to camp. Rogers was released on Friday (Sept. 29) from Manchester's (AHL) camp and is expected to arrive in time for the start of camp this weekend.

The Cincinnati Cyclones are an affiliate of the National Hockey League's (NHL) Montreal Canadiens. The Cyclones begin the 2006-07 regular season on Friday night, October 20 against Pensacola at U.S. Bank Arena.
