The San Diego Hall of Champions announced their February Stars of the Month, including Sockers goalkeeper Chris Toth. Posting wins in all of his February starts, Toth shined in a 7-2 victory over the Baltimore Blast, for which he was named to the MASL Team of the Week, saving twelve shots while allowing just one goal until the fourth quarter. Toth then earned an assist while stopping sixteen shots in the Sockers' division-clinching 9-5 win over the Ontario Fury, and followed up that performance by allowing a career-low single goal in the Sockers' season ending 3-1 win over the Fury at home.

It's the second straight year for Toth to earn a Star of the Month honor from the Hall of Champions. He automatically earns an invite to the yearly Salute to Champions banquet and is now eligible for Star of the Year consideration. Earlier this month, forward Kraig Chiles earned his second Star of the Year honor of his career.

Also picking up February Star of the Month honors from the professional ranks were NASCAR racing legend Jimmie Johnson, and PGA golfer Pat Perez.

Toth will be in goal on Saturday night as the Sockers (16-4) take on the Las Vegas Legends in a single-elimination playoff for the Major Arena Soccer League Pacific Division championship. Tickets are available at (866) 799-GOAL, online through sockers.com and at the Valley View Casino Center box office.
