
CHL Suspends Pair of Arizona Defensemen

GLENDALE, AZ (March 2, 2014) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Arizona Sundogs defenseman Garrett Clarke has been suspended for two (2) games and as a result will miss today's game in Wichita and Wednesday's game in St. Charles.
Clarke received a "Match Penalty" for attempt to injure in the third period of Saturday's game in Allen. The penalty came from several slashes and swings of his stick towards his opponents.
Additionally, the suspension to Matt McCready has been determined to conclude at two (2) games subsequently allowing him to participate in today's game in Wichita. McCready had already missed Arizona's games on Friday and Saturday in Allen serving his two game sanction.
McCready was assessed a "Physical Abuse of Official" penalty in the late stages of last Tuesday's game in Wichita for shooting a puck in the direction of an on-ice official.
