CHL Decision Made Regarding Arizona Sundogs
Published on April 2, 2010 under Central Hockey League (CHL) News Release
(Tempe, Arizona) -The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that the license agreement between the CHL and Prescott Valley Hockey Club, LLC (PVHC - Arizona Sundogs) has been terminated, effective immediately. Consolidated Sports Holdings (USA) Inc. is the parent company to PVHC.
"We are unable to comment as to all the details of the termination at this time," said Duane Lewis, CHL Commissioner. "But it has become clear that PVHC has not been operating at a level consistent within the parameters set forth in their license agreement."
The CHL will oversee operation of the Sundogs and assume the lease at Tim's Toyota Center until the transfer to a new ownership group can be completed. The Sundogs are heading into their fifth season in the CHL this fall and are just two seasons removed from winning the Ray Miron President's Cup (2008).
