CHIVAS USA TIES IN THIRD PRESEASON SCRIMMAGE

Chivas USA played the Chicago Fire to a 1-1 draw, Tuesday, in its third preseason scrimmage at The Home Depot Center's Track and Field. The match was the Rojiblancos' first friendly of camp against MLS competition.

RED-AND-WHITE SET TO FACE KOREAN LEAGUE TEAM ON SATURDAY

Chivas USA will host Korean League side Gangwon FC this Saturday at The HDC's Field 6 in its fourth preseason scrimmage beginning at 11:30 a.m. (PT). The Goats won their first two scrimmages of camp and tied the third and look to stay unbeaten under new Head Coach Jose Luis Sanchez Sola "El Chelis."

ROJIBLANCOS TRAVEL TO LAS VEGAS FOR FEB. 15 SCRIMMAGE

The Red-and-White will face the Colorado Rapids in Las Vegas on Feb. 15 in a friendly as part of the 2013 Las Vegas ProSoccer Challenge - the first annual event hosted by USA Sevens LLC and the City of Las Vegas. The game will take place at Sam Boyd Stadium on the campus of UNLV.

Agudelo Joins Chivas USA Camp

Forward Juan Agudelo joined Chivas USA's preseason camp last Friday after completing his call-up to the U.S. Men's National Team January training camp which began on Jan. 7. Agudelo came on as a sub in the 64th minute for the U.S. in the scoreless draw against Canada on Jan. 29. Agudelo appeared in his first preseason scrimmage in yesterday's 1-1 draw against Chicago and played the entire first half.

First Kick 2013 Set for March 2 at The HDC

Chivas USA will kick off its ninth season when it hosts the Columbus Crew at The Home Depot Center for First Kick 2013 on Saturday, March 2, beginning at 7:30 p.m. (PT). Because of the same unbalanced schedule format the MLS used during the 2012 season, this will be the only meeting between the two sides in 2013.

EYE ON YOUTH

Youth Academy Update

Chivas USA's Under-16 squad extended their unbeaten streak to eight games with a 2-2 tie against the Irvine Strikers last Saturday. The U18s were not as fortunate, as they fell 4-1 to the Strikers.

Chivas USA Youth Academy to Hold Two More Tryouts

Chivas USA is hosting two tryouts for its new U-14 squad on Feb. 25 and April 22. The newly-formed squad will compete in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy.
