
Chivas USA Receives Draft Pick In Trade With Houston

CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010) - Chivas USA announced on Thursday that it has acquired a conditional MLS SuperDraft pick from the Houston Dynamo in exchange for the rights to midfielder Kevin Harmse. The conditional third or fourth round pick was received for the Canadian midfielder, who made 12 appearances (eight starts) in the 2009 season, all with Toronto, missing the second half of the season with a right knee injury.
Chivas USA will open preseason for the 2010 campaign on Tuesday, January 26, and will play its first match of the 2010 season on Sunday, March 28, 2010, when it hosts the Colorado Rapids.
