Chivas USA falls 2-1 to Chicago Fire in Preseason Exhibition

CARSON, Calif. (Saturday, March 3, 2007) - Chivas USA fell 2-1 to the Chicago Fire in a Major League Soccer preseason exhibition held this morning at The Home Depot Center's University Field 2. Justin Mapp and Mike Banner scored goals on either side of halftime for the visitors, while Claudio Suárez, Mexico's all-time caps leader, pulled one back for Chivas USA in the 73rd minute following a corner kick.

The Chivas USA Reserves will play U.C. Santa Barbara this afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in a match that is scheduled to feature the Chivas USA debut of Honduran National Team captain Amado Guevara. The Red-and-White face their next test against an MLS side on Saturday, March 10 when they play the Houston Dynamo at 10:00 a.m. at The Home Depot Center.
