CARSON, Calif. - Chivas USA won its first preseason game under new Head Coach Preki, claiming a 1-0 victory over Loyola Marymount University in a scrimmage played at The Home Depot Center's University Field 2.
Forward Anthony Hamilton of Grand Terrace, California - Chivas USA's fourth pick in the 2007 MLS Supplemental Draft out of the University of California, Irvine - scored the game's lone goal in the 68th minute, pouncing on a rebound in the penalty area and slotting home.
Chivas USA Head Coach Preki used two different lineups for each of the 45-minute halves.
Chivas USA plays its next preseason game on Thursday, February 15 against the U.S. U-23's, including Chivas USA midfielder and Huntington Beach native Sacha Kljestan.
