
Chihuahuas Celebrate Fifth Season with a Fan Fest & Individual Ticket on Sale on February 24th

EL PASO - Excitement is building in anticipation of the Chihuahuas Fifth Season Celebration. Individual game tickets for the 2018 regular season, as well as the Padres vs. Chihuahuas Exhibition Game on March 26th, will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, February 24th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Durango Box Office at Southwest University Park.
Those in attendance between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday will have the first opportunity to purchase Padres vs. Chihuahuas Exhibition Game tickets and 2018 individual game tickets. Tickets will be available for purchase online at EPChihuahuas.com beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Sunday morning (February 25th).
"It's an honor to plan our Fifth Season Celebration and officially release individual tickets to the most supportive community in Minor League Baseball," said Chihuahuas Vice President and General Manager Brad Taylor.
Season Seat Holders will be given the first opportunity to purchase individual game tickets starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 21st and Paw-tial Plan Holders receive the same pre-purchase benefit on Thursday, February 22nd. Members of the general public who filled out an interest form online will have a pre-purchase opportunity on Friday, February 23rd. Military and first responders, including veterans, will also have a pre-purchase opportunity via GovX.com on February 23rd.
Season Seat Holders will be instructed via email how they can purchase their additional individual game tickets. There is a 10 ticket limit for the Padres vs. Chihuahuas Exhibition Game on March 26th, Opening Night and July 3rd games. The ticket limit is per account and not based on the number of Season Seats purchased.
The Chihuahuas will host a Fan Fest for guests from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for those who purchase in-person on Saturday. Fans will be given the opportunity to get a glimpse of Southwest University Park including the home clubhouse and batting cages, take photos with Chico, enjoy a Chihuahuas Team Shop sidewalk sale and more!
Beginning February 27th, the Durango Box Office will be open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. through Opening Day. The Santa Fe Box Office will be open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Both box offices will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
Tickets are available starting at $5. Purchasers who buy in advance will enjoy savings ranging from $2.00 - $3.00 per ticket on reserved seating versus purchasing on the day of the game.
Tickets for the Padres vs. Chihuahuas Exhibition Game are currently on sale to Chihuahuas Season Seat and Paw-tial Plan Holders that renewed for the 2018 campaign. Group leaders who have booked a 2018 date with a minimum 25% deposit are able to purchase a group to the exhibition game now. Individuals who would like a pre-purchase opportunity prior to the general public on sale still have a chance to register online at epchihuahuas.com.
The Fifth Season Celebration kicks off with the Padres vs. Chihuahuas Exhibition Game on March 26th with the regular season scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 5th in Las Vegas. The Chihuahuas home opener is slated for Tuesday, April 10th.
The Chihuahuas will play 13 home games in both April and May including a seven-game homestand to kick off the home season against the Salt Lake Bees (Los Angeles Angels) and the Las Vegas 51s (New York Mets), respectively. The Bees return for the second time at the end of April to start an eight-game slate that includes the Reno Aces (Arizona Diamondbacks), April 25th-May 3rd.
June is the heaviest month of the season with 16 home games including a seven-game homestand against the American Southern Division's Nashville Sounds (Oakland A's) and Memphis Redbirds (St. Louis Cardinals). The homestand also features a Father's Day game on June 17th.
The team will close out June with regional rivals the Albuquerque Isotopes (Colorado Rockies) as part of a nine-game set that leads up to the Fourth of July (June 25th-July 3rd). The Chihuahuas take a break from play July 9th-11th for the Triple-A All-Star Game before returning home to play Reno July 12th through July 15th.
The Chihuahuas will end the 2018 campaign with 15 games in August and conclude the regular season at home with four games versus the Tacoma Rainiers (Seattle Mariners) during Labor Day weekend (August 31s-September 3rd).
The Chihuahuas will face Albuquerque, Fresno, Las Vegas, Reno, Sacramento, Salt Lake and Tacoma twice as members of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) Pacific Conference.
