
Chiefs GM John Simone to Join Crunch Team

Syracuse, NY- The Syracuse Chiefs announced today that general manager John Simone will be participating in the Fitness Forum Coaches vs. Cancer Spin-A-Thon on Saturday, February 28 at the Carousel Center.
The Spin-A-Thon will consist of teams of six or more people in a non-stop fitness event where the participants take turns pedaling on a stationary bike over a six-hour time period. Simone will be part of the Syracuse Crunch team which will be lead by head coach Ross Yates. There will also be a team headed by Syracuse University Men's Basketball Head Coach, Jim Boeheim. In addition, members of the public can sign up to form their own teams.
Teams donate a minimum of $300 per bike ($50 per participant), which can be raised through donations or pledges. The event begins at 9 a.m. with Simone and the Crunch team scheduled to participate at 11:30 a.m. Participants have the chance to win prizes that include a trip to the Big East Tournament in New York City, tickets to the Basket Ball hosted by James and Julie Boeheim and much more.
Each year during the winter months, Fitness Forum supports Coaches vs. Cancer with a variety of fitness-focused fundraising events that include yoga, pilates, zumba and hip hop parties, high school basketball challenges and Spin-A-Thons.
