SYRACUSE (NY) - The Syracuse Chiefs blanked the Ottawa Lynx 10-0 Friday en route to their fourth straight Spring Training win.
AJ Burnett started on the mound for Syracuse and struck out seven Lynx over six scoreless innings. Jean Machi, Lee Gronkiewicz and Ryan Houston each pitched one scoreless inning and did not allow the Lynx to collect a hit over the last three innings.
Russ Adams had three hits including a home run and a triple and drove home four runs to pace the Chiefs offensive attack. Adam Lind, Greg Zaun and Mike Vento each collected two hits for Syracuse.
The Chiefs (5-3-1) host the Lynx at 10:00 AM Saturday morning at the Blue Jays Complex.
