Chiefs Announce Schedule Changes

July 23, 2008 - ECHL (ECHL)
Johnstown Chiefs News Release

Johnstown, Pa. - The Johnstown Chiefs announced today changes to their 2008-09 schedule.

The game scheduled for Wednesday, November 12 at the War Memorial arena against the Wheeling Nailers will now be played against the Cincinnati Cyclones. Also, three home games that had been scheduled against the Dayton Bombers now feature different opponents.

On Saturday, February 21 and Sunday, February 22 the Elmira Jackals will visit Johnstown instead of Dayton, and on Wednesday, March 4 the Wheeling Nailers will replace the Bombers on the Chiefs' schedule.

With the Pensacola Ice Pilots no longer a member of the ECHL, the Chiefs' game that had been scheduled for Tuesday, February 24 has been removed from the schedule. To make up for that road game, Johnstown will now visit US Bank Arena to take on the Cincinnati Cyclones on Wednesday, April 1. That game will be a part of a three-game set against the defending Kelly Cup champions to close out the regular season.

The Chiefs' 21st season in the ECHL gets under way on Friday, October 17 at 7:30 p.m. against the Trenton Devils at Sovereign Bank Arena. The Chiefs return to Johnstown for their home opener the very next night against the Wheeling Nailers at 7:05 p.m. You won't want to miss a minute of the action!
