Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that they have re-signed forward Darryl Lloyd for the 2008-09 season.
The Pickering, ON native played in 52 games for the Salmon Kings last season compiling 26 points (10 goals - 16 assists). He also served 128 minutes in penalties. In 11 playoff games he contributed three points (1g2a) and 12 minutes in penalties.
"Darryl will once again play an important role for us this season," General Manager and Head Coach Mark Morrison said. "He is a gritty player who brings a high level of effort every time he steps on the ice."
Lloyd began the 2007-08 season in the Central Hockey League with the Bossier-Shreveport Mud Bugs before rejoining the Salmon Kings in early December for his second season in Victoria.
The 5-10, 195lbs Lloyd is entering his fourth professional season. He has played in 250 games as a professional. Lloyd spent three seasons with the OHL's Windsor Spitfires prior to beginning his professional career.
