
Former Bomber Flood Signs With NHL's Carolina

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League announced that they have agreed to terms with former Dayton Bombers defenseman Mark Flood.
Selected in the sixth round (188th overall) by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Flood had 12 points (6g,6a) in his first 20 games with Dayton as a rookie in 2005-06 earning him a selection to the 2007 ECHL All-Star Game. He finished the season with 25 points (11g,14a) in 50 games for the Bombers while also playing in the AHL where he had two points (1g,1a) in nine games with Syracuse.
The 23-year-old has played the last two seasons in the AHL where he has 34 points (14g-20a) in 97 games with Albany and Syracuse, including 22 points (10g-12a) in 53 games for the River Rats in 2007-08.
