
Chicago Storm Goes Green for St. Patrick's Day

Chicago (Wednesday, March 15th, 2006) - It's the home stretch!!! With three teams locking up their MISL playoff spots, the Storm are now battle it out for that final spot. Chicago has a three game lead going into the weekend as they try to fend off the surging California Cougars and the Philadelphia Kixx. The best way to do that is to WIN! This weekend the Storm have two chances to build a little breathing room.
Friday night the Storm travel to Milwaukee to take on the Wave at 7:05 pm. If you can't make it to the game, go to the Storm's webpage www.chicagostorm.net and click on the link in the game preview Friday. Don't miss a second of the action!
Not only does Chicago have a chance to beat the first place St. Louis Steamers Sunday but fans get a chance to take the shirts off their favorite Storm players back. On March 19th at 4 pm the Storm is takes on the St. Louis Steamers at the UIC Pavilion. In honor of St. Patrick's Day, Chicago will don green uniforms. During the first two quarters of the game, fans can bid on their favorite player's jersey with all the proceeds going to the Kids-4-Soccer foundation. Each Storm player will sign his jersey before releasing it to its new owner. It's a wonderful way to get memorabilia and help out a worthy cause. Kids-4-Soccer is a 501c (3) foundation that benefits underprivileged children in the Chicagoland area, giving kids the chance to attend soccer camps and providing them with tickets to professional soccer games. For our Hispanic fans, Storm forward Jorge Valle is taping a round table discussion for Telemundo. Topics will range from the Mexican National Team and the upcoming World Cup to the Chicago Storm and the upcoming MISL Playoffs. The show will air either Saturday or Sunday. The Chicago Storm's next home game is Sunday, March 19th against the St. Louis Steamers at 4 pm.
