Chicago Sky News Release
CHICAGO -The Sky (8-8) earned an 85-75 win over the Silver Stars (6-8) at home Sunday night after outscoring them 22-7 in the first quarter. Chicago is now 3-5 all-time against San Antonio. Jia Perkins scored a season-high 29 points while Candice Dupree added 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Sky Camp game
The Sky welcomes the New York Liberty (5-8) to the UIC Pavilion Wednesday at 11:30 am for the first ever Sky Camp Day. Wednesday is the first match up between the teams this season. The Sky looks to improve their 3-3 all-time record against the Liberty.
Sky Delivers Three Aces for 2009 WNBA All Star
Sylvia Fowles, Candice Dupree and Jia Perkins were named to the WNBA's 2009 Eastern Conference All- Star team. Fowles will start at center in her first WNBA All- Star appearance and Dupree will make her first all-star start as a forward in her third appearance. Perkins will make her first WNBA All- Star appearance as a reserve.

CHICAGO SKY
The Sky is one of six independently-owned teams in the WNBA, the world's longest-running women's professional sports league. Chicago finished fifth in the Eastern Division with a 12-22 record in their third season. Sylvia Fowles, Chicago's rookie center, ranked third in blocks per game and fifth in double-doubles with six. Forward Candice Dupree ranked third in defensive rebounds, fourth in rebounds per game and third in double-doubles with nine. Guard Jia Perkins ranked fourth in the league in steals, fifth in the league in free-throw percentage and seventh in points. The Sky plays at the Chicago's UIC Pavilion.
