CHICAGO - The Chicago Sky have waived Avery Warley. The 6-foot-3 center signed as a free agent to training camp on March 26, 2014.
The Sky picked up Warley as a replacement player midway through the 2013 season when the team was granted a roster hardship due to injuries. In 2014 Warley appeared in two preseason games in Orlando averaging 1.5 points and 1.0 rebound per game.
The Sky's home opener against Eastern Conference rival Indiana Fever will take place at the Allstate Arena on Friday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. CT. The game will broadcast on The U Too.
