
Chicago Prevails Over Mid-Michigan, Win 121-108

Chicago, IL- Stanley Thomas hit for a season-high 32 points to go along with nine rebounds as the Chicago Throwbacks went on to defeat the Mid-Michigan Destroyers 121-108.
Chicago was lights out early on shooting 61.2% from the field in the first quarter. Stanley Thomas hit for 13 of his 23 first half points in the stanza on 5-5 from the field; this included 3-3 from three point range as Chicago held a 30-24 lead.
Thomas continued his hot shooting in the second quarter hitting for ten on a pair of threes; he also had seven boards for the half. Mid-Michigan, coming off a 50 point loss to Rochester last Saturday would hang around. Odgra Bobo hit for 15 in the half while Melvin White and Marcus Skinner had ten points each. Going into the locker room, Mid-Michigan found themselves tied up at 53 each.
At the half, Chicago was shooting 64% from the field and hit 5-9 from three point range. Mid-Michigan was at an even 50% from the field and had to try and find an answer for Thomas.
In the third, Mid-Michigan found an answer for Thomas, holding him to only three points, but the Destroyers couldn't answer Casey Love. Love had the first five points of the quarter and nine in the third as Chicago took a commanding 89-81 lead. Through three it was Thomas with 26 and Love with 19 for Chicago; Odgra Bobo had 20 and Melvin White had 18 for Mid-Michigan.
In the fourth, it was all Chicago as the Throwbacks improve to 5-6 on the season with Mid-Michigan dropping to 2-8.
