Chicago Hounds News Release

CHICAGO, I.L. - The Chicago Hounds continued their flurry of offseason activity with the contract extension of 22-year-old prop Mika Felix.

Felix, 5-foot-10 and 265 pounds, appeared in five contests for the Hounds during the 2023 season. He made four appearances off the bench and started the Week 10 contest against the New Orleans Gold. The American-qualified prop finished the year with 112 minutes on the field. Felix had 26 first or second-ruck arrivals. Offensively, he carried the ball three times for 10 meters (3.3 meters-per-carry). Defensively, Felix completed 18 of his 22 tackle attempts.

Before joining the Hounds last offseason, Felix spent the 2022 season with the Austin Gilgronis. A native of Wellington, New Zealand, the prop is USA-eligible and has been an active participant in the USA age-grade system. In 2020, Felix earned selection for the USA Under-20 team. Last fall, he toured with the USA Falcons, the developmental team for the Eagles.
