FIRE RETURN TO REGULAR SEASON PLAY
Chicago Fire FC returns to the lakefront and will resume regular season play this Sunday, August 20 against Orlando City SC. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. CT.
The Fire come into Sunday as one of the hottest teams in MLS, with Chicago having won five of their last six regular season contests. Sunday also marks the second and final time Chicago will play against the Floridan side, with the first contest of the season resulting in a 3-1 road loss for Chicago on July 1 at Exploria Stadium. The match was Chicago's only loss in the month of July, with the Fire going on a three-game winning streak following the defeat.
This will be the 18th all-time regular season contest between the two sides, with Chicago holding a record of (5-6-6, 21 points) all-time against Orlando. Since Orlando's inaugural season in 2015, this is just the third time the two teams have met at Soldier Field, with the Fire holding a home record of 3-2-3 against Orlando and a 1-0-1 record at Soldier Field.
Join the Fire in honoring our nation's brave military personnel with our upcoming Military Night on Aug. 20. Alongside the action on the field, we'll show our support and appreciation throughout the evening for the incredible sacrifices and dedication of our military community, plus we'll have exciting activities and giveaways for fans to enjoy. The match will be broadcast on Apple TV, streamed on wlsam.com and transmitted locally in Spanish on TUDN 1200 AM.

FIRE II CONTINUE THEIR HOT STREAK!
Chicago Fire FC II is continuing their hot streak!
The MLS NEXT Pro side has climbed up the standings and find themselves in sixth place of the Eastern Conference heading into Matchweek 23 of the regular season.
The Fire had two games last week, with the first ending in a 5-1 rout over FC Cincinnati 2 on August 10 at NKU Socccer Stadium in Highland Heights, Kentucky. The match saw Fire Homegrown Alex Monis record a brace to lift Chicago over the Ohio side. His first goal would land him Goal of Matchday 21 honors, following his marvelous finish in the 26th minute. Three more goals from Billy Hency, Luka Prpa, and Fire Homegrown Missael Rodriguez would lift Chicago into the playoff picture.
Four days later, the Fire would return to SeatGeek Stadium and host Florida side, Inter Miami CF II for the second and final time of the 2023 season. The Fire were caught flat-footed in the first half, conceding the opening pair of goals before Luke Prpa would cut the deficit in half going into halftime. Chicago would complete the comeback off the heels of a game-tying goal from recent signing Romain Blake, who scored his first goal in a Fire uniform. Blake heroics would continue, with the young Jamaican scoring the game-winning penalty to give Chicago the extra point and lift them to sixth place in the standings.
Chicago returns to MLS NEXT Pro action this Wednesday, Aug. 16 when they host NYCFC II at 6 p.m. CT at SeatGeek Stadium. Admission and parking is free for all Chicago Fire FC II home matches. The match can also be streamed for free on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
