The Chicago Fire (3-6-2, 11 points) travel to face Orlando City SC (6-4-1, 19 points) at Orlando City Stadium on Saturday, May 26 at 6:30 p.m. CT (ESPN+/Univision Deportes Chicago 1200AM). Coverage begins at 6:15 p.m. CT with a live pregame show on ESPN+ presented by CIBC.
CHICAGO FIRE at ORLANDO CITY SC
The Fire are 1-2-4 all-time in regular season meetings against Orlando City, and 0-0-3 in matches played on the road.
The Fire have scored ten goals to Orlando's eight during MLS play.
Defender Rafael Ramos was acquired in a trade with Orlando City on Jan. 18, 2018. From 2015-17, Ramos appeared in 39 league matches for Orlando City and tallied five assists.
Fire original and Ring of Fire inductee C.J. Brown now serves as an assistant coach for Orlando City. Brown, who spent his entire 13-year MLS career playing for the Fire, holds the club record for most appearances with 296.
CHICAGO FIRE ACADEMY GOES 4-2-1 IN USSDA ACTION
The Chicago Fire Academy teams combined for a 4-2-1 record over the weekend in U.S. Soccer Development Academy play, outscoring their opponents 21 to 10.
On Saturday, May 19 the Fire hosted the Indiana Fire Academy on the Toyota Park Turf Field.
In the first match of the day, the U-13s fell 1-0. The U-14s won 6-0, courtesy of a goal from Antonio Costabile, a Maximiliano Ibarra brace and a David Sanchez hat trick. Goals from Missael Rodriguez, Alex Monis and Erik Kocs-Washburn led the U-15s to a 3-0 win. The U-17s won 5-0 behind goals from Bret Bebej, Jayson Iniguez, Adrian Morgan and two from Daniel Dabrowski. The U-19s capped off the day with a 3-1 win, led by a strike from Christian Marquez and a brace from Victor Bazerra.
The following day the U-13s fell 5-1 to Cincinnati United Premier at the Blue Ash Sports Center. The U-14s earned a point in a 3-3 draw, with goals coming from Christian Baumgartner, Richard Fleming III and Max Viera.
The Chicago Fire Academy sides return to USSDA action when they host the Internationals on May 26.
