
Chicago Fire Soccer Launches 10-Year Anniversary Celebration

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (Feb. 7, 2008) - Chicago Fire Soccer announced today the launch of the team's 10-Year Anniversary campaign, which will be sponsored by Magnum Insurance.
Throughout their ten seasons, the Chicago Fire has proven to be a force in Major League Soccer. The Fire has always given fans something to cheer about, winning five domestic titles; four Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cups and an MLS Cup Championship. To kick off the campaign, the Fire today unveiled a "10-Year Anniversary Celebration" commemorative logo, featuring the colors of both the Chicago Fire and the Municipal Flag of Chicago.
Some of the events and initiatives of the anniversary celebration include:
- Redesigned team web site (www.chicago-fire.com) featuring anniversary theme
- Year-long sweepstakes for the Chicago Fire "All Decade Team," and other online interactive fan contests
- A 10-Year Anniversary player reunion event at the end of the 2008 season
- Commemorative Fire merchandise items
More about these events and initiatives will be unveiled at the 10th Annual FireWorks for Kids Foundation Season Kickoff Luncheon at the Hilton Chicago Hotel on March 25.
The presenting sponsor of the "10-Year Anniversary Celebration" is Chicago-based Magnum Insurance. Magnum Insurance caters to the Hispanic market by offering low cost, full service, auto, life, and property insurance with a Spanish-speaking staff.
"Throughout the first decade of the Chicago Fire there are so many incredible memories that our fans cherish. Memories of great players, thrilling matches, landmark accomplishments, and of course unforgettable Championships," said Chicago Fire President and GM John Guppy.
