CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC today announced that the Club has signed Chicago Fire FC II winger Omari Glasgow to a short-term agreement. Glasgow will be available for today's MLS regular season road match against St. Louis CITY SC at CITY PARK.

Glasgow, 20, made his Major League Soccer debut last weekend in the Club's home match against the New England Revolution at Soldier Field. The Guyana native entered the match in the 79th minute for Homegrown midfielder Brian Gutiérrez. With the appearance, Glasgow became the first-ever Chicago Fire FC II player to feature for the First Team in MLS regular season action.

Since joining the Club, Glasgow has appeared in 42 matches (40 starts) for Chicago Fire FC II. In his three seasons with the Fire, Glasgow has recorded 12 goals and 10 assists. So far in 2024, Glasgow has two goals, including one in the 2-0 victory over Atlanta United 2 on April 28 at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Ill.

Glasgow was signed to an MLS NEXT Pro contract on March 24, 2022 with Chicago Fire FC II. He currently occupies an international slot with the MLS NEXT Pro side of the Club.

At the international level, Glasgow is a constant for the Guyana Men's National Team. As a member of the Golden Jaguars, Glasgow has 14 career goals with the senior team. Most recently, Glasgow was awarded CONCACAF Nations League Young Player of the Tournament honors. With seven goals in five games, Glasgow earned CONCACAF Nations League Top Scorer honors, making him the first Guyanese player to win the award. Glasgow was the youngest player in competition history to earn the honor at just 20 years of age.

Per MLS rules, a Club may sign a player from its affiliate (MLS NEXT Pro or USL) to a maximum of four Short-Term Agreements (up to four-day contracts) each season (maximum of 16 days). An individual player may be included on up to four MLS league season match rosters each season, however, that player may appear in no more than two MLS league season matches. An individual player may appear in any number of non-league games during the terms of his four Short-Term Agreements.
