
Chicago Fire FC Announces 2024 Preseason Schedule

CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC today announced its preseason schedule ahead of the 2024 MLS regular season.
Players will report to SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Ill., the weekend of Jan. 13 for team medicals before traveling to Florida from Jan. 15-27. The second half of preseason training will take place in California from Feb. 5-17 during which the Fire will participate in the Coachella Valley Invitational, facing off against Austin FC, LAFC, Minnesota United FC, and the Portland Timbers.
While in Florida, the Fire will train at IMG Academy and will play two preseason matches, first taking on USL Championship side Loudoun United FC at 9 a.m. CT on Tuesday, Jan. 23. The Fire will then face the New York Red Bulls on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 9:30 a.m. CT before returning to Chicago. The matches in Florida will be closed to the public.
After returning from Florida, the Fire will train in Chicago from Jan. 31-Feb. 4 before departing for Coachella Valley. Details regarding media access for team trainings during the team's week in Chicago will be shared at a later date.
In California, the Fire will kick off their participation in the Coachella Valley Invitational on Wednesday, Feb. 7 against Austin FC at 3 p.m. CT. Four days later, on Sunday, Feb. 11, the Chicago will face LAFC at 2:30 p.m. CT before rounding out the tournament on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m. CT against the Portland Timbers.
Chicago's 2024 regular season, driven by Carvana, will open on the road against the Philadelphia Union at 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 24, at Subaru Park in Chester, Pa. The following weekend, the Fire will host 2023 MLS Supporters' Shield winners FC Cincinnati on March 2 at Soldier Field. Scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. CT, the match against Cincinnati will mark the earliest home opener in Chicago Fire history, occurring two days prior to the Club's 2023 opener.
