Chicago Bandits News Release
ELGIN, Ill. - The Chicago Bandits will host the first "Jersey Jam" of the year at Judson University on Monday, June 21 at 7:05 p.m. Any boy or girl wearing a baseball uniform or softball top will get in for free with a paying adult to see the Bandits clash bats with the Akron Racers.
Although the main event will be the Bandit's second game of a three game home opener series with the Racers, the night highlights bringing youth together and promoting participation in baseball and softball leagues around Chicago.
"It allows us to reach out to youth players around the area and helps us show our community support, and it allows more fans to come to the game" said Aaron Moore, the General Manager of the Chicago Bandits.
According to Moore, the Bandits specifically picked Monday to host the "Jersey Jam" because they wanted to take into consideration the softball league and baseball leagues' hectic schedules on the weekends.
"[The game] is a good opportunity on a Monday night to try and maximize our crowd and get a bunch of softball people out there who are playing on the weekends," said Moore.
Adult tickets start at $8.75. For more information about the Chicago Bandits "Jersey Jam" and to purchase tickets call 877-7BANDITS or visit www.chicagobandits.com.
