Cheetahs Rained Out
Published on June 18, 2003 under Frontier League (FL)
Windy City ThunderBolts News Release
The Cook County Cheetahs were rained out tonight, June 18, against the Richmond Roosters, and will make up the game in a special 1 p.m. game on Monday, June 23.
The Roosters will play their regularly scheduled game in Rockford on Sunday night, June 22, and travel to Crestwood for the Monday afternoon make-up game. If the game were not made up Monday, it would be cancelled for the season, as Richmond does not make a return trip to Crestwood.
"We didn't want to lose the game completely, and it made sense to have Richmond come in on their way back home," said Cheetahs General Manager Chuck Heeman. "Everyone is off on Monday, and we've already lost enough games to weather, so we'll have fun with this one and the players will have another chance to put up some numbers."
Tickets for the Monday game will be half-price at the ticket office on the day of the game. For information, call 708-489-2255.
