July 22, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Charlotte Checkers News Release
CHARLOTTE, NC ---The Charlotte Checkers have etched a sweet parking deal for their season ticket holders who will attend hockey games at the New Charlotte Arena this year. Three hundred spaces in a surface lot in the block across from the arena will be reserved for Checkers games which will assure parking that is convenient, affordable and secure.
The LaPointe surface parking lot is located between 6th & 7th Streets and No. Brevard & No. Caldwell Streets. It is managed by Central Parking Systems.
Full-season ticket holders (36 games) will be offered the opportunity to enroll for a space in the lot; the first three hundred to do so will be guaranteed and a parking fee of $6.00/game will be added to their season-ticket price package.
"Checkers season ticket holders will now be able to park in a reserved, convenient, safe and affordable location when they come to Checkers games," said President Jeff Longo. "In keeping with our policy to consider our fans first, parking was an issue we clearly wanted to address head-on. Checkers hockey will be enticing in every respect ... the opportunity to enjoy professional hockey in a state-of-the-art arena with all of its amazing amenities, and a secure parking area within one block of the building ... which solidifies the complete entertainment experience of attending a Checkers game."
