Checkers Announce Game Time Change

The Checkers announced today that the home game against the Texas Stars, originally scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 5, at 1:30 p.m., has been moved to Thursday, Jan. 2, at 7 p.m.
The added Thursday game will feature $1 Bud Light draughts, marking the eighth "Thirsty Thursday" promotion of the season. As with every other Thursday game, fans may also receive $5 off any regular-priced ticket by showing their Harris Teeter VIC Card at the Time Warner Cable box office.
An updated schedule, as well as a PDF calendar and downloads for Outlook, iCal and Google that reflect the time change can be found on the schedule page at gocheckers.com . Tickets for all home games at Time Warner Cable Arena are on sale now through Ticketmaster, and information on season tickets, mini plans and flex packs can be found on the team's official website, by calling (704) 342-4423 or by emailing a ticket representative at tickets@gocheckers.com.
The Checkers open their home schedule against the Iowa Stars on Saturday, Oct. 19. Single-game tickets are on sale now, and a special opening-night group offer is also available for the event, which includes a magnet schedule and t-shirt giveaway.
