Chattanooga Steamers News Release

Chattanooga, TN-The Chattanooga Steamers Professional Basketball Club is announcing the names of players who have been invited to the Steamers' first training camp, to be held at Brainerd Recreation Center in late October. Ten players will be chosen during the course of the training camp to fill out the roster of the Steamers' upcoming inaugural season, said Litterial Green, Head Coach and General Manager of the team.

The Steamers are gearing up for their first season; the selection of players for the upcoming game schedule is one of the last steps in forming the franchise, which is one of five teams in the American Basketball Association's Spencer Haywood Division. Both individual and season tickets have been selling briskly on the team's website, said John Tyner, President of the Steamers organization.
