Niagara DareDevils sign five at open tryouts

St.Catharines, Ontario - Sep 27th, 2005 The Niagara Daredevils open tryout can be deemed a success with five players receiving an invite to training camp on October 15th. Among the players signed is former 6'5", 213 lbs Brock Badger Morgan Fairweather, who was a key member of the bronze medal CIS championship team last season. The additional signings include Kirk Salesman, O'Neil Kamaka, Cordell Jeanty and Chris Spencer.

Kirk Salesman is a 6'5", 205 lbs former member of the Canadian National team, who has also acquired overseas experience in China, Taiwan and the Philippines. O'Neil Kamaka is a 6'5", 197 lbs current member of the Jamaican National team who also played one season of professional basketball in the Macedonia League.

Cordell Jeanty a 6'5", 215 lbs native of Toronto, played two record breaking seasons at John A. Community College where he led his team in both scoring and rebounds. Jeanty is a versatile player with all-round talent that earned him All- Conference and All-Region honours. Chris "Bless" Spencer a 6'2", 196 lbs, played with the Kentucky Colonels ABA team last season after playing two seasons of college basketball at Wilberforce University.
