Chattanooga Red Wolves SC News Release

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Chattanooga Red Wolves SC has announced YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga as the home for the USL League One team's official athletic training facility for 2019. All Red Wolves players will focus their strength and conditioning regimens at the downtown Chattanooga location for the club's inaugural season.

According to Chattanooga Red Wolves SC Head Coach and Technical Director Tim Hankinson, the YMCA met all of the coaching staff's requirements of a training environment.

"Finding a strength and conditioning facility for the inaugural season was a top priority for us," said Hankinson. "The YMCA has absolutely everything the Red Wolves need to ensure we maintain a healthy conditioning environment-from strength equipment to a recovery pool. We are excited to be working with an organization that has such a positive impact on our community."

The YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga has a long history of delivering lasting change in area communities through programming that encourages healthy living, social responsibility and youth development that is accessible to all. The Y accomplishes this mission, in part, by working alongside community leaders and neighbors who help bring people together of all ages and backgrounds to bridge the gaps in community needs.

As a part of the partnership, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC will assist in developing and growing the Y's Adaptive Soccer and Miracle League programs. Both provide children and adults with physical limitations and other special needs the chance to play sports and participate in learning opportunities in a safe, fun atmosphere.

According to Downtown Family YMCA Youth Program Director Nicole Brogden, the partnership between the organizations provides the opportunity to deepen community impact though joint efforts and outreach.

"Our partnership with the Chattanooga Red Wolves Soccer Club helps further the mission of the YMCA in the community," said Brogden. "They share the Y's vision to help nurture the potential of youth and adults, and we are excited to have their support and expertise as an addition to our Adaptive Soccer and Miracle League of Chattanooga Programs."

The Red Wolves will make their debut in USL League One play on March 30, 2019 as the club travels to Dallas, Texas to face North Texas SC, a League One club operated by MLS side FC Dallas. The Red Wolves will face Forward Madison FC for the club's inaugural opening night the following week on April 6. Kickoff is 7 p.m. local time.
