Manchester Wolves News Release

MANCHESTER, N.H. (May 12, 2005) – The Manchester Wolves are proud to announce that the Chateau Restaurant (201 Hanover Street) is the new home for the team's official pre-game barbeque for all remaining Wolves road games. This event will be open to the public as well, so that Wolves fans young and old can enjoy a great meal while mingling with the team.

The first Wolves barbeque will take place this Thursday, May 12, at 8:00 PM.

As a special kickoff to this new event, Wolves co-partner and frequent Chateau patron Jim Watson has agreed to pay for the first 10 fans through the doors. All other entrants will be able to dine for just $9.95. The price is right as the Chateau cooks up a tasty meal, which includes entree items such as barbeque chicken, burgers and Italian sausage and succulent side dishes like pasta salad and fresh fruits and vegetables.

"The Chateau is a great restaurant right in the heart of downtown Manchester set back just off Elm Street," Wolves General Manager Angelo Mazzella said. "They have become a great partner of ours and are big fans of the team. Our fans are going to love the atmosphere and the food."

In addition to hosting the team barbeque, the Chateau is also the Wolves' official post-game party headquarters. The post-game party provides another great opportunity for fans to enjoy the Chateau's fine food and beverage menu while socializing with the Wolves players, coaches and dance team members.

The Wolves (4-1) enter their next game this Saturday night at Albany (2-3) in a first-place tie in the East Division on the strength of a four-game winning streak. The Conquest are currently in fifth place in the division standings, but have turned the corner a bit of late, scoring two straight wins after starting the year 0-3. They are led by veteran QB D. Bryant, who has thrown for 1,085 yards and 21 touchdowns on the year. He also leads the team with 55 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Travis Coleman stands out on the defensive side for Albany with a team-leading 19.0 total tackles and two interceptions, both of which he returned for touchdowns. The Wolves defeated Albany earlier in the season on the road, 56-49, on April 23.
