Louisville Fire News Release
The Louisville Fire Arena Football team has announced the Charlie Daniels Band will play at Freedom Hall following the Fire's April 13 game against the Cincinnati Jungle Kats. Kick-off time for that game has been moved to 6:15 and the concert will start 45 minutes to an hour after the game. The concert will last approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. The concert will be presented by Gravely.
Daniels broke through as a record maker with 1973's Honey In the Rock and its hit hippie song, "Uneasy Rider." His rebel anthems "Long Haired Country Boy" and "The South's Gonna Do It" propelled his 1975 collection Fire On the Mountain to Double Platinum status. In the summer of 1979 Daniels "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," became a Platinum single, topped both country and pop charts, won a Grammy Award, became an international phenomenon, earned three Country Music Association trophies, became a cornerstone of the Urban Cowboy movie soundtrack and propelled Daniel's Million Mile Reflections album to Triple Platinum sales levels. By 1981, the Charlie Daniels Band had twice been voted the Academy of Country Music's Touring Band of the Year. The band also won the 1996 Grammy Award for Best Southern Gospel, Country Gospel or Bluegrass Gospel Album - Amazing Grace: A Country Salute to Gospel
The post-game concert is included for all season ticket holders. Ticket prices for the game and concert will range from $10 - $49.
"It's purely American music with something for everyone," Daniels said. "At least that's what I've hoped for in my 40-plus years in music."
Season tickets for the 2007 season are now on sale starting at just $80. Tickets can be purchased by calling 502-368-0009 or at louisvillefirefootball.com.
