Tampa Bay Rowdies News Release
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Rowdies host a huge game Saturday night when Nashville SC comes calling at Al Lang Stadium in a matchup of the teams in second and third place in the Eastern Conference.
Here's a look at some of the biggest matches happening in the East this weekend.
Tampa Bay Rowdies vs. Nashville SC
Saturday, 7:30 p.m. | ESPN+
The Rowdies picked up a big 5-0 win last weekend, but needed to shift their attention quickly with the biggest match of the season to date next on the schedule.
Nashville is just one point behind the Rowdies (with one more game played) and has lost only once in its last eight games, a 2-1 defeat against the first place Red Bulls. Former Rowdies Matt Pickens and Darnell King will likely line up against their former club.
Louisville City FC vs. Indy Eleven
Friday, 7:30 p.m | ESPN+
Louisville has won its last four matches heading into a derby against Indy. Louisville sits in seventh place, potentially forcing the two-time defending champions to play in the first round of the USL Championship Playoffs.
Indy could be poised for a run at the top of the table despite hovering around fourth for the last several weeks at least. The Eleven has three games in hand on the Rowdies and four on the other teams ahead of it and is only seven points out of first place.
