Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - Back in Montreal for a pair of back-to-back home matches, CF Montréal will host Atlanta United FC this Saturday at 4pm EDT at Stade Saputo (TVA Sports, 91.9 Sports, TSN 690).
With a win or a draw against the Georgians this Saturday, Wilfried Nancy's men would go six straight games undefeated in MLS play, a feat achieved only three times in the Club's MLS history (2015, 2016, 2021).
The two sides will be meeting for the second and final time this season. In the first fixture on March 19 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta overcame a two-goal deficit to salvage a 3-3 draw. Since that match, Montreal has picked up 10 of a possible 12 points.
At home against Atlanta, Montreal holds a 2-1-2 record with eight goals scored and seven conceded.
Atlanta is arriving in town without a win since a 1-0 result over D.C. United on April 2. Since then, the visitors have only found the back of the net twice in four games, losing 1-0 at Charlotte, drawing 0-0 against Cincinnati in addition to a 2-1 loss at Miami. Since mid-October 2020, Atlanta has won just five of its last 26 games on the road.
During the match, CF Montréal will also be paying tribute to the late Guy Lafleur, who passed away on April 22.
