Central Valley Fuego Futbol Club and Root General Collaborate on Camp Sunshine Dreams

The Central Valley Fuego Futbol Club and Root General are proud to announce a collaboration to raise awareness and support for Camp Sunshine Dreams, a camp created to serve children undergoing cancer treatment and give them camp experience as similar as possible to the typical summer camp. The collaboration consists of a floral printed jersey inspired by playful summers in the Central Valley, a clear raincoat for seasonal layering while continuing to show your team spirit, and a pair of custom knitted socks in the same floral pattern as the jersey. The proceeds from the sale of the clothing line will go to benefit Camp Sunshine Dreams. The clothing line will be released for sale and preorder at Art Hop on October the 7th at Root located at Warnors Center 1424 Fulton St. Downtown Fresno.

-Root is a creative space dreamed up by husband and wife team Kirk and Cassey James, consisting of a retail store and design/print studio. The retail portion sells a medley of everyday goods made by local artisans and other independent designers. Our mission is to bring thoughtful, functional design to our local community while creating a shopping experience that's a memorable occasion.

-Camp Sunshine Dreams is designed to offer children undergoing cancer treatment a camp experience as similar as possible to the typical summer camp experience. The camp is an enjoyable, stimulating and supportive experience and provides for the special emotional and physical needs of the children attending. Because it is recognized that siblings of children with cancer also have special needs, the camp is also open to these individuals as well.

Camp Sunshine Dreams is a successful program, which has demonstrated surpassing value to cancer patients and their siblings who attend. This camp has also been held in high esteem by parents, the medical community, the media, and the general public.

Central Valley Fuego Futbol Club was founded in 2002 and spent 14 seasons in USL League Two. In 2022, Fuego FC will enter the professional ranks for the first time in USL League One.
