Cavs Continue Winning Streak

LAWTON, Okla. - The Cavs defeated the Vermont Frost Heaves at home yesterday afternoon with a score of 112-106, making their record 5-0 so far this season.

Although the Cavs brought home another win, they were behind the Frost Heaves for the entire first half.

The Frost Heaves had a 3-point lead by the end of the first quarter with a score of 33-30, and by halftime they had a 1-point lead of 58-57.

However, the Cavs stayed close behind the Frost Heaves with a total of 21 rebounds and 10 assists, compared to the Frost Heaves' 25 rebounds and 11 assists at the end of the first half.

Cavs forward Jamaal Davis contributed to the team's performance and success, shooting 2 of the 3-pointers in the second quarter.

At the end of the third quarter, the Cavs had 19 assists, giving them a strong 13-point lead of 88-75.

Both teams continued to put more numbers on the scoreboard in the last quarter and both played an aggressive game, making the final score 112-102.

The Cavs had 18 player fouls and the Frost Heaves had 24, but the Cavs led in free throws with 19 while the Frost Heaves had 14.

Frost Heaves guard Julian Allen was the leading scorer with 30 points and Cavs guard DeAnthony Bowden was the team's top scorer with 21 points.

The Cavs next game is this Wednesday, Jan 26 against the Kentucky Bluegrass Stallions at 7 pm E in Georgetown, Ky.
