
Cats to hold downtown parade May 13

The Fort Worth Cats will hold an Opening Day parade through downtown Fort Worth the morning of their Home Opener May 13. The parade will begin at 11:15 a.m. this Friday at LaGrave Field, home of the Cats.
Baseball great Maury Wills will lead the group of former players. This season marks the 50th anniversary of the team that Wills played on in Fort Worth (1955). Cats' manager Wayne Terwilliger will lead this year's team. This is Twig's 57th season in professional baseball.
The Cats held Opening Day parades through downtown in the 1940s and â50s. The last parade held before a Home Opener came in 1952.
The Cats Home Opener is set for Friday night at 7:05 p.m. when the team faces the Edinburg Roadrunners.
