Aviators win big in game three

ROBSTOWN, TEXAS – The Coastal Bend Aviators bats finally found some life tonight. The Aviators (4-2) won game three 11-3 to take the series, three games to one against the San Angelo Colts (4-3)

The Aviators broke the game open in the bottom of the second inning scoring two runs and then again in the bottom of the fifth inning scoring four runs to put them up 6-3.

Matt Mann hit a solo homerun in the bottom of the sixth inning. Mann finished the night 3 for 5 with three RBI.

Matthew Rohr (1-0) picked up the win, pitching seven innings, giving up seven hits, three earned runs and had five strikeouts.

Jason Wiedmeyer (0-2) took the loss for the Colts, pitching six innings, giving up ten runs, seven of them earned runs.

The Aviators take to the road heading to Shreveport to take on the Sports. The Aviators will be back home on Friday the 20th of May to take on Shreveport in a three-game series. Tickets are available through the Aviator's Website, www.aviatorsbaseball.com or call (361)-387-8585.
