
Cats sign pitcher Jung

The Fort Worth Cats have signed Korean-born pitcher Jae Hun Jung to a contract for the 2009 season, it was announced today.
Jung most recently pitched for The Saskatchewan Silver Sox in the Arizona Winter League. He was 4-1 with a 3.41 ERA in 8 games including three starts. In 29 innings of work, he struck out 39 and walked only two.
The Silver Sox were managed by Cats' pitching coach James Frisbie.
Jung, 29, pitched professionally for the Doosan Bears in the Korean Baseball Organization from 2006-2008.
The Cats begin Spring Training camp this Saturday. Their first exhibition game is on Monday, May 4 with Opening Day slated for May 14.
