San Angelo, Texas-Catcher Trey Carter's (1) grand slam capped a Colts' comeback from an early five run deficit as the San Angelo upended Amarillo 12-6 for their first win of the season.

The Colts trailed 6-1 after 2 ½ innings thanks to a four-run third from the Dillas, which was highlighted by an RBI single from leftfielder TJ Warren and a two-run double from first baseman Corey Wine. Warren finished the game 2-4 with two RBI and four RBI for the series, while Wine went 2-4 with two RBI as well.

The Colts would then take the lead for good after Carter smashed his first homer of the year over the right field wall to make the score 9-6. The Colts would add three more insurance runs in the eighth thanks to RBI singles from leftfielder John Wagle, designated hitter Jason Landreth, first baseman Josh Collazzo, and shortstop Butch Ballez. For the game, Carter went 3-4 with a homer, single, double, three runs scored and five RBI. Ballez went 2-4 with three RBI, while right fielder Adam Hale (1) hit a solo homer in the second for the Colts' first run of the game.
