The Cary Invasion beat the Fayetteville Crossover by a score of 112 - 99 at a crowded Young Center on Friday night. The Invasion (9 - 0) started slowly, falling behind by as many as 13 points in the first quarter but then came back to tie the game at the half. The Invasion took control of the game late in the third quarter, building a lead of 9 points heading into the fourth and never trailing through the remainder of the game.
Former NCCU standout Jonathan Moore led all scorers with 27 points and 9 rebounds. Former Clemson guard Chris Poole scored 16 points and had 12 assists for the Invasion. Six players scored in double figures for Cary. Cary plays next at Fayetteville on Tuesday, June 14th at 8 pm.
This was the last regular season home game for the Invasion. The win secures Cary a playoff spot in the CBL North. One win in the final three games, all played on the road, assures a home divisional playoff game for Cary. Two wins in the final three games assures home court advantage throughout the playoffs.
