
Carolina RailHawks Lose 2007 Edition of Copa Tecate

A sell out crowd on Wednesday night witnessed an epic battle between Cruz Azul of Mexico and the Carolina RailHawks. 8,505 fans filled SAS Soccer Park to capacity for the 2007 edition of the Copa Tecate. The Club Deportivo Cruz Azul of the Mexican Primera came away with the trophy as they beat the Carolina RailHawks 2 -0 with goals by Cesar Villaluz and Adrian Cortez. The RailHawks held their own with plenty of shots thwarted by Cruz Azul's goalkeeper Yosgar Gutierrez.
Next the RailHawks will face Miami FC at SAS Soccer Park in Cary on Saturday July 28th at 7:30 PM. Fans will have the opportunity to see 1994 World Cup Champion Zinho as he visits SAS Soccer Park for the first time this year.
