Carl Woszczynski Named USL Player of the Week

PHOENIX - Phoenix Rising goalkeeper Carl Woszczynski was named the USL Player of the Week for Week 16 of the 2018 USL season the league announced today. On Friday night, Woszczynski notched seven saves en route to his fifth consecutive clean sheet in a 1-0 win over Orange County Soccer Club. Woszczynski and Phoenix Rising went the entire month of June without allowing a goal.
This is the first time Woszczynski has been recognized by the league and he becomes the third different Phoenix Rising player to receive Player of the Week honors, joining teammates Chris Cortez (Week 2) and Jason Johnson (Week 14).
Phoenix Rising is in the midst of a week off and returns to action on Saturday, July 14, when they visit Fresno Football Club. Fans can attend the club's official watch party at the Thirsty Lion in Tempe Marketplace.
