
Carkeek Makes Plans for 2013-14 Season

The Springfield Jr. Blues are proud to announce that defensemen Jon Carkeek has committed to Hamilton College for the 2013-14 season. Carkeek, 19, from Pheonix, AZ, has been a steady stay at home defensemen for the Jr. Blues all season long. Before coming to the Jr. Blues this season, Carkeek played for the Pheonix Firebirds of the NAPHL.
Hamilton College is located in Clinton, NY. The hockey team competes in the NESCAC with the likes of Middlebury, Tufts and Connecticut College.
"Jon has worked hard all season for us. Hamilton is getting a quality hockey player and a quality young man that will help them immediately. We wish Jon the best as he continues his hockey career at the collegiate level," said Coach Zasowski.
