JUPITER -- The Palm Beach Cardinals scored six runs in three innings to snap a three-game Miracle win streak, 6-4.

Michael Tarsi began by retiring the first eight hitters in order. He hit the ninth with a pitch and headed into the fifth with a no- hitter. Cardinals catcher Blake Murphy snapped the bid with a solo homer to left, and the Cardinals would add two in the next inning and three in the seventh as a three-run Miracle rally in the eighth came up short.

Tarsi (3-3) walked none and struck out seven, but he allowed five earned runs on seven hits in his six and one-third to take the loss. One of those runs came in to score against reliever Michael Allen, who gave up one earned on three hits in one and two-thirds.

David Kopp (5-2) held Fort Myers to just one run in his six innings, scattering seven hits and striking out six. Thomas Eager pitched a scoreless seventh but wilted in the eighth with three runs allowed. Adam Reifer saved his nineteenth.

The two teams will match up for game two of the series at 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday night at Roger Dean Stadium. All-Star starter David Bromberg will look to even the series at one for the Miracle.
