
Cardinals Caravan Rolling To AZP

MEMPHIS, TN - The 2010 Cardinals Caravan will roll into Memphis on Sunday, January 17 with the program scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Current players Blake Hawksworth, Nick Stavinoha, Daryl Jones and Pete Kozma will join former Cardinals Alan Benes, John Mabry and Cal Eldred with Cardinals broadcaster Al Hrabosky. Hawksworth, Stavinoha, Benes and Mabry all played for Memphis in their careers. Hawksworth and Stavinoha were both a part of the Redbirds 2009 Pacific Coast League champion team while also spending time with St. Louis last season. Jones and Kozma both spent the majority of last year with Double-A Springfield and are two of the Cardinals most highly regarded prospects. Benes played parts of six seasons for Memphis while also enjoying parts of five seasons with St. Louis. Mabry played for the Redbirds in 2004 and donned the Birds on the Bat for St. Louis for eight seasons. Eldred played for the Cardinals from 2003-05. Hrabosky will begin his 26th year on Cardinals telecasts in 2010 after playing eight seasons with St. Louis in the 1970s.
The Cardinals Caravan program is scheduled to begin at 6:30 with doors opening at 5 p.m. The event is free and will feature free food and soft drinks beginning at 5:45 p.m. For more information on the event or information on season tickets visit memphisredbirds.com or call 901.722.6050.
