
Card Set Giveaway; Full Team Autographs this Friday

GENEVA, ILLINOIS - The first 500 fans attending this Friday's Chicago Steel game will receive the final installment of the team's Trading Card Giveaway presented by Top Shelf Sports Cards when the Steel (31-14-3-1; 66 pts) take on the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders (22-17-4-3; 51 pts) at 7:05 p.m. CT at Fox Valley Ice Arena.
The pack of cards features half of the Steel roster and includes rookie forward Macklin Celebrini, who recently broke the USHL all-time points record for a U17 player, Clark Cup Champion Quinn Finley, Michael Emerson, Jack Stark and more. The pack also includes Steel mascot Rusty.
After the game, fans are invited to stay for Full Team Post-Game Autographs.
Chicago is coming off a pair of victories over the Madison Capitols this past weekend. On Saturday, goalie Christian Manz and the Steel shutout the Capitols with a 7-0 win. Rookie forward Macklin Celebrini recorded a hat trick in the contest.
Sunday, the Steel came back from a two-goal deficit for the eighth time this season to topple Madison 6-4. Jayden Perron notched three assists Saturday and a goal and three assists Sunday, earning him the USHL Forward of the Week Honors.
Friday will be the sixth, and final, scheduled regular season meeting between the Steel and the RoughRiders. This season, the Steel are 3-1-0-1 against the RoughRiders. The Steel hold an all-time record of 51-53-5-4, and a home record of 27-25-2-2 against the RoughRiders.
In their last meeting on Feb. 17, Celebrini scored two goals and the Steel power play registered three tallies in a 4-3 win over the RoughRiders at Fox Valley Ice Arena.
Cedar Rapids defenseman Eric Pohlkamp leads all USHL defensemen, and is fourth on the RoughRiders, in points with 39 (14G, 25A). Among USHL defensemen, Pohlkamp is second in goals and tied for fourth in assists with Steel defenseman Anthony Dowd. Pohlkamp leads all USHL defensemen with 124 shots this season.
Next weekend, the Steel are home Friday and Saturday night for a pair of Eastern Conference matchups. Saturday, March 18, the Steel will don special jerseys to take on the Dubuque Fighting Saints on Military Appreciation Night presented by Ozinga. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
Sunday, March 19 the Steel battle the Madison Capitols and will celebrate mascot Rusty's birthday with a post-game Skate with the Steel. Puck drop is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. Following the game, fans are invited to participate in a Post-Game Skate with the Steel.
March 19 is a Slumberland Family Pack game featuring a deal which includes four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas/waters, four chips and four chuck-a-pucks for just $50. The package may be purchased in quantities of four to eight and may be purchased online and selecting from the column on the right side of the ticketing page.
