Captains Sweep Weekly Awards

DURHAM, NC - The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has named Shreveport-Bossier Captains INF Andres Rodriguez and RHP Alex Kaminsky as the Pointstreak Batter and Pitcher of the Week.
Rodriguez batted .423 with four home runs and 13 RBIs in six games. He collected 11 hits in 26 at-bats, including three doubles, and scored five runs. Rodriguez also had an on-base percentage of .429 to go along with a slugging percentage of 1.000. On the season, the San Cristobal, DR resident is hitting .332 with 15 home runs and 71 runs batted in.
Kaminsky went 2-0 this past week with wins against Gary SouthShore and Fort Worth. In 13 innings pitched, he allowed three earned runs on 15 hits with three walks and 13 strikeouts. With the Captains, Kaminsky is 3-0 with a 1.80 ERA in three starts. The Fostoria, OH resident has also spent time this season with Fargo-Moorhead and El Paso.
