Captain Rob Cornwall on Team of the Week

Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC News Release


WINDSOR, CO - Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC captain and center back Rob Cornwall was named to the USL League One Team of the Week for Week 8 of the 2022 regular season. Last Wednesday, Cornwall led the team to a 2-1 victory over the Charlotte Independence.

In the victory he had an assist to Irvin Parra, who scored in the second minute of the match. He also won seven of his eight duels, while adding even more on the defensive end with six clearances and four recoveries. This is the first time this season Cornwall has been named to the Team of the Week.

Cornwall joins Ethan Vanacore-Decker, Denso Ulysse, and Parra as members of the Hailstorm to be named to a Team of the Week this season. All three were named to the Week 2 team, with Parra being named to the Week 3 and Week 5 teams as well.

Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC will play its home matches in the 6,500-seat TicketSmarter Stadium at the Future Legends Complex, the premier destination for sports and events in Northern Colorado. Season ticket deposits are being taken now.

Opening in 2022, the 118-acre Future Legends Complex will feature two stadiums, multiple baseball diamonds and multi-purpose fields, an indoor sports arena, lodging, and retail; and will host guests for major sports tournaments, events, leagues, and more.
